Five Pin Friday

1. Look at her jewels!
2. Traveling to Tibet
3. Girl with parrot
4.Afar girl
5. Fulani Tribe in Mali

"We are the world" is probably one of my most favorite pinboards on Pinterest. I found it after the maker of this board repinned one of my pins. I love the photographs of the different peoplefrom various countries/cultures and how it just captures their very essence. Many of the portraits feature people with striking eyes, that bear a story. Take some time to look at the pins on this board and let me know what you think.

Five Pin Friday

This week is all about color (which seems to be lacking from my wardrobe this summer). I have also included photos of the some of the color blocking styles I like.

Five Pin Friday

1) Cute representation of the age old saying "I love you this much".
2) I think this is a brilliant photo concept-- Shadows.
3) I really like this image because it portrays the big floppy beach hat that I've been longing to have since last summer. Hopefully I'll be able to purchase on sooner or later.
4) Love this idea for my future home. A wall of silly portraits that somehow go together.
5) This is by far my favorite story of the week. In summary, a British photographer went to visit the black macaque monkeys in Indonesia. They were quite pleasant to be around and loved his camera, so handed it to them and they snapped that lovely self-portrait along with a few other images that can either be seen here or here.

Five Pin Friday

1) This stylish striped pasta is so classy.
2) A clever photo concept.
3) The contrast between the color of the wall and the black and white posters is stunning.
4) Pretty red rain boots... I wouldn't mind owning a pair.
5) I would like to veer away from my usual nail polish shades of pink and deep reds. This color would be great to try.

Five Pin Friday

1. A mini caprese. It looks so fresh. My all time favorite sandwich is the chicken blt/caprese they had at my undergrad's snack bar. It was so delis!; 2) Lovely photographs. I think elephants are so beautiful. I have a thing for long lashes, they have the longest lashes I've ever seen!; 3) Winding staircase.; 4) I love the blue on blue color action going on, with the pop of orange. ; 5) This photo is in honor of Father's day this upcoming Sunday. This is a great gift idea for younger children.

A New Blog Feature... How (p)interesting

Pinterest is an up and coming network that allows users to keep an archive of their favorite images on virtual pinboards. Whether you love images of interesting photography concepts, delicious foods, dresses, or inspiring outfits... there's a pinboard for that!.... if you want to create one for yourself, of course.

Although it's quite easy to get sucked into this new craze, I am able to spend a reasonable amount of time on the site every week, just to take a gander at new pins or even post some of my own. There are so many pretty images I would like to share with you guys that I have decided to start this blog feature: Five Pin Fridays. Every Friday, I will post five of my favorite pins for the week. They may all have a general theme or they just be random selections that I've fallen in love with.

Here begins my very first Five Pin Fridays. This week's central theme is scenery.

1) Dusk, campfire, and a fancy tent? What more could you ask for on a camping trip. I would love to go camping if my tent looked like that.  2)Autumn tree tunnel, Smuggler's Notch State Park, Vermont : 3) Looks like a world within a world. Such a lovely looking place. 4) This image reminds me of Fern Gully in Jamaica. Remember this post?... It would be a great aisle for a wedding ceremony... no lie. 5) Saihoji (Kokedera) - Kyoto, Japan:.  This area looks so surreal. Almost like a painting. When I look at this photo, I can feel the warm, humid air on my skin and the softness of the grass and moss between my toes. Love it!
