O. M. C.!!

Old Man Crush:
1. noun
Admiration of an attractive, older gentleman

I remember having a conversation about old man crushes with my college roommate, junior year. She was either watching Lord of the Rings or a similar film and she pointed out an older guy whom she admired. My roommate then asked me who my old man crush was. I was a bit embarrassed to respond to her question, as I remembered my first old man crush was Jackie Chan when I was much, MUCH younger (around the time when Rush Hour was released). I haven't really thought about my old man crushes since then, but I have a new one...

He plays multi-millionaire, Joe Bennett, on the show Lipstick Jungle (which I've been watching on Hulu for the past month or so). Andrew McCarthy is his real name, and as I look him up on IMDb, I see that he was also one of the main characters in Weekend at Bernie's and Mannequin (1987). I don't know what it is about him. He's just easy on the eyes, I guess. I like his petite nose and how his lips always seem to be pursed (which may be attributed to his character on Lipstick Jungle). In any case, I'm crushin'.

"You're Beautiful"

-- Yes, yes.... another Celebrity Crushin' post. Today's crush is James Blunt. His eyes are so strikingly green and gorgeous and I love his songs. I'm usually not a fan of scruffy men, but... Yea, he's definitely "beautiful". ツ

--So, James Blunt has a new album. I want to get it, but I would like to hear some of the songs first. I remember going to his concert on October 10, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall with my roomie freshman year. I only knew one of his songs ("You're Beautiful") but fell in love with all of the others by the end of the concert. The concert featured songs from his debut album, Back to Bedlam. I think many of the songs on that album spoke a lot about his military service in Kosovo.

This is one of my favorite songs/videos from Back to Bedlam: "Goodbye My Lover"

-- He also released another album in 2007 entitled All the Lost Souls. This album was definitely more emotion-filled than the first, but I think he stayed true to his singing style from the first album, which I admire. He has released a third album on November 8th, and I'm so anxious to hear it. I hope it's just as good as the first two.

-- Here are pics from the concert in 2006:

-- We were sitting in the third mezzanine and were hoping to be those lucky people to win seats up close, but we were not that lucky. We were, however, REALLY excited to be at that concert (as you can probably see in the last photo).

Celebrity Crushin'

Tracee Ellis Ross

-- She's gorgeous!

I love her style....

I also love the versatility of styles she has with her curly hair.

-- Tracee Ross also has a really nice body and seems to be pretty confident about it. All of her clothing are very figure flattering and fit her well. I claim her as my style icon since Girlfriends first aired. I would say that we have the same shape, but she looks a little fuller in the hips and maybe even a little taller. Still, I admire her style and her figure.

Crushin'

I was first introduced to Robbie Jones while watching season 6 of One Tree Hill. He played troubled student and 'bad guy' basketball player, Quinten Fields. I didn't like his character too much b/c he was rude most of the time, but as 'Quinten' role took a turn for the better, I started liking him more and more. The writers eventually killed his character and all that was left of him were memories.

He's back this season/year in a new CW tv show,Hellcats . He plays a cheerleader, Lewis. Thinking about his character in One Tree Hill, I couldn't imagine him being a cheerleader in this show but I have to say that I'm liking him so far. He's being quite the charmer and he's actually pretty good looking. ツ
